Bullets to Visit Moravian in CC Affair

Gettysburg Seeks to Even Record

OPENING KICKOFF
Looking to get back into the winning column, the Bullets visit Moravian College in a Centennial Conference match after dropping their last two outings.

QUICK HITS
1.  When the two teams met in Bethlehem two years ago, a freak October blizzard left the field covered with several inches of snow by game's end. The Bullets won 22-14.
2. The Greyhounds are coming off their first victory of the season, outgunning Franklin & Marshall 52-42 a week ago.
3. Gettysburg's four losses have come against teams with a combined record of 18-6.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bullets lead the Greyhounds 10-1 in the all-time series that began in 1978. Gettysburg has won the last 10 meetings since Moravian claimed the inaugural match-up.

LAST TIME OUT
Gettysburg posted more total yards (474) and passing yards (302) against Johns Hopkins than any opponent all season, but the 12th-ranked Blue Jays defeated Gettysburg 34-16 at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium this past Saturday. Junior quarterback Zach Miller posted his second career 300-yard passing game for the Bullets, going 23-for-38 for 302 yards and one touchdown while senior wing Tommy LeNoir finished with 233 all-purpose yards. Freshman linebacker Chris Miller made 19 tackles and forced a pair of fumbles while sophomore linebacker Kodie McNamara added 18 stops.

Freshman Chris Negron ran for 218 yards and two touchdown while senior Robbie Moyer tossed four TD passes, leading Moravian to a 52-42 victory over Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday in Bethlehem. The Greyhounds never trailed after jumping to a 31-7 lead to open the game and finished with 359 rushing yards. Sophomore safety Anthony Orlando led the defense with 12 tackles and returned a fumble 45 yards for a touchdown. Negron was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

LAST YEAR'S MATCHUP
Quarterback Kody Smith '13 racked up 359 total yards and contributed to three touchdowns, leading the Bullets to a 42-20 victory over the Greyhounds in Gettysburg last season. Smith rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while passing for 232 yards and one touchdown for the Bullets, who scored four of their six TDs on the ground. Gettysburg's Larry DelViscio '13 made a game-high 15 tackles, including 3.0 for loss. Six Bullets accounted for six sacks, and Gettysburg also came up with five takeaways and scored a defensive touchdown on linebacker Cody DiAmore's 33-yard interception return. Jimmy Lahue passed for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Moravian while Albie Moran made five catches for 123 yards and a TD.

THE GETTYSBURG OFFENSE
Gettysburg has averaged 488.0 yards per game on the season to rank 16th in Division III. The Bullets are 36th in rushing (230.3 ypg) and have scored just three more touchdowns on the ground (16) as they have through the air (13). Sophomore tailback Kyle Wigley leads the team with 97.3 rushing yards per game and has averaged 6.0 yards per carry. Junior tailback Eddie Hutchins has seen increased playing time as of late, carrying the ball 5.5 yards per rush while running for a team-leading four touchdowns. Junior quarterback Zach Miller has thrown for 250.6 yards per game, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions while completing 62.8 percent of his passes. He broke into Gettysburg's single-season top-10 list for passing yards last week and is currently sixth with 1,754 yards. Senior receiver Aden Twer leads the Bullets in every receiving category, hauling in 27 passes for 82.0 yards per game and seven touchdowns while averaging 21.3 yard per catch. Senior wing Tommy LeNoir has added 20 receptions for the Bullets.

THE GETTYSBURG DEFENSE
The Bullets have received production from their linebackers in recent weeks, with freshman Chris Miller and sophomore Kodie McNamara both nearly reaching 20 tackles versus Johns Hopkins a week ago. For the season McNamara leads the team with 91 tackles and ranks seventh in Division III with 13.0 stops per game while senior linebacker Cody DiAmore is second on the team with 76 hits. Junior defensive end Drew Winters is tops on the team with 5.5 sacks while junior defensive end A.J. Hill has made 8.5 tackles for loss. Sophomore cornerback Brian Calatozzo is the team leader with four interceptions.

THE GETTYSBURG SPECIAL TEAMS
LeNoir has continued to perform well on special teams and enters Saturday's game ranked 14th in Division III in all-purpose yards (176.0 ypg). He has taken 28 of the team's 39 kick returns and all 13 punt returns, averaging 24.9 yards per kick return and 8.4 yards per punt return. Sophomore Robby Fay has averaged 40.6 yards per punt to rank 16th in the nation while junior Matt Perkins has made 23 of 26 extra points and 5 of 9 field goals, including a career-long 38-yarder against Johns Hopkins.

SCOUTING MORAVIAN
Moravian snapped a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season with its win over F&M last week. Offensively, freshman Chris Negron has led the team with 88.3 rushing yards per game and five touchdowns while senior Robbie Moyer has made a mark as a two-way threat, rushing for 77.4 yards per game and five touchdowns while passing for 129.1 yards per game, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The team's leading receivers are freshman Jalen Snyder-Scipio (33 receptions, 48.6 ypg, 3 TDs) and sophomore Jimmy McCarthy (29 catches, 46.0 ypg, 4 TDs). The defense has been sophomore safety Anthony Orlando, who has made 69 tackles, and junior linebacker Kevin Bracken, who has totaled 67 tackles and seven passes defended. Sophomore David Fiumura has posted a perfect season kicking, making all three of his field-goal attempts and going 20-for-20 on extra points.

TWER HITS MILESTONES
Twer has reached a pair of career milestones in each of the past two weeks. Two weeks ago versus Muhlenberg he made his 100th career reception, and last week against Johns Hopkins he went over 2,000 career receiving yards. He comes into Saturday's game ranked first in school history in career touchdown receptions (23), second in receiving yards (2,003), and fourth in receptions (105).

THE COACHES
Gettysburg is coached by Barry Streeter, now in his 35th year at the helm of the Bullets and the longest-tenured football coach in Division III. With 177 career victories, Streeter is eighth among active Division III coaches in wins. He is also 21st on the all-time Division III coaches win list. Streeter, who owns a career record of 177-169-5, is Gettysburg's all-time winningest and longest-tenured football coach in program history. In addition, his 107 Centennial Conference football wins are second in conference history.

Jeff Pukszyn is in his third year as the head coach of Moravian. He took over the position after spending the previous 10 seasons as the assistant head coach of the Greyhounds. He is just the fourth head coach of Moravian since 1955.
