GRANTHAM, Pa. – No. 1-ranked Messiah College scored the game's first five goals and the Falcons handed Gettysburg a 5-1 setback in a lightning-shortened non-conference men's soccer match Wednesday evening.
The Falcons (5-0) led just 1-0 at the half but scored four times over a 21:36 span in the second stanza, taking a 5-0 advantage in the 73rd minute.

Brooks Taylor (Nashville, Tenn./Taft School [Conn.]) put the Bullets on the scoreboard in the 74th minute with his first goal of the season, getting loose on a breakaway and sneaking the ball past a charging goalie.
