York, Pa. –Defense was the name of the game on Wednesday afternoon in York, Pa. as Gettysburg battled to a 0-0 tie against the Spartans.

The Bullets (5-0-2) finished with a 17-8 shot advantage over York (3-2-1) but were unable to put one past Melanie Glessner, who ended the game with 11 saves. Junior Brigid Behan (Newport, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey) led all players with five shots on the afternoon.

Sophomore Eliza Gray (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) made five saves for Gettysburg to earn her fifth shutout of the season in seven games, dropping her goals against average to a mere 0.29 on the season.

The Bullets are back in action Saturday when they travel to Washington College at 7 p.m. for a conference matchup.
