GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's soccer team used two early goals and a solid defensive effort to hold off Frostburg State 2-1 in a non-conference outing Saturday evening at Clark Field.

Junior Brigid Behan (Newport, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey) scored the eventual game-winning goal for the Bullets in the 50th minute on a shot from the top of the box that found the inside of the far post for her third goal of the season.

Mallory Sheer (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) broke a scoreless tie in the 33rd minute when she headed home a curling corner kick from junior Meg Castranova (Pennington, N.J./Pennington School). The goal was Sheer's first of the season.

With under a minute to play Chelsie McCoy converted on a long ball from Adria Graham for the Bobcats lone goal.

Gettysburg outshot Frostburg State 21-7.

With the win Gettysburg moves to 3-0-1 on the season.

The Bullets will travel to Catholic University on for a non-conference outing Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
