Box Score BALTIMORE – Playing without four starters, a shorthanded Gettysburg College men's soccer team lost by a 3-0 count at Johns Hopkins University in a Centennial Conference tilt and a match-up between two regionally-ranked teams Wednesday evening.
The Bullets (7-2-1, 1-1-1 CC) entered the match ranked fourth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III Mid-Atlantic Region poll while the Blue Jays (6-2-1, 2-1 CC) checked in at ninth.
Kenny DeStefano gave Hopkins a 2-0 lead after scoring in the 39th and the 49th minutes. Samy Ramadane set the final score with a goal in the 88th minute.
Freshman
Max Karen (Huntington, N.Y./Elwood-John Glenn), making his first collegiate start, finished with three saves while facing 14 shots. Nick Cerrone collected four saves against the Bullets, who fired off eight shots.
