Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Georgia Ferguson (Bethel, Conn./Bethel) scored the game-winning goal in the 98th minute to lift the Gettysburg College women's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference victory over York (Pa.) College Wednesday evening at Clark Field.

Molly Phillips (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) initiated the goal, sending a pass forward that bounced off two players and back out to Ferguson at the top-right of the box. Wearing No. 20 instead of her standard No. 10 after bloodying her jersey on a collision earlier in the match, she chipped in a left-footed shot that sailed over goalie Stevi Lukacz and into the top left corner of the net for her first goal of the season.
Gettysburg (3-2) outshot the Spartans 15-10 and held a 7-2 advantage in penalty corners.

Eliza Gray (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) made three saves en route to her second shutout of the season while Lukacz made seven stops for York (3-2-1).
Each side took just four shots in a defensive-minded first half. In the second period, the Spartans applied some early pressure, starting with a long-range runner from Jordan Snook in the 57th minute that was saved by Gray. Then in the 68th minute, Taylor Folk drilled a rocket right at Gray, who saved it cleanly.
A minute later, the Bullets had an excellent scoring opportunity, reeling off a four-shot flurry in which Lukacz made three saves.
York received a break in the 89th minute when it received a direct kick from just outside the box, but Shyanne Kimbrough's shot sailed high.
Gettysburg controlled the overtime period, taking all four shots. Junior
Lauren Schapiro (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) nearly ended the match in the 94th minute, but her shot from the left wing missed the right post by inches as it rolled across the goal mouth.
The Bullets return to action on Saturday, when the visit Ursinus College at 3 p.m. in their Centennial Conference opener.
