Lauren Schapiro (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) scored in the 87th minute while classmate

Hannah Theurer (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) set up Schapiro's goal, sending a lead pass upfield that led to a breakaway. Schapiro pulled up at the top of the box and looped a shot into the upper-left corner of the net for her fourth goal of the season – three of which have been game-winners.
Â
The shutout was Gettysburg's eighth of the season and the seventh for Gray, who also moved into sole possession of third in Centennial Conference history in career goalie wins with 43 – just one shy of the Gettysburg record held by Kathy Kroupa '95.
Â
It was yet another nailbiter for Gettysburg (6-2-4, 3-2 CC). Since the team's 5-0 win over Hiram College in its second match of the year, each of its last 10 matches have been decided by one goal or resulted in a tie.
Â
The Bullets came out of the gates firing, reeling off five shots on goal over the opening 19 minutes. But all five shots were stopped by Charlotte Armour, who finished the day with nine saves. Gettysburg held a 9-2 shot advantage in the half, but Armour collected six stops in the period and the scoreboard read 0-0 at the intermission.
Â
The Bullets placed four more shots on net in the second half but still could solve Armour until Schapiro's late tally.
Â
Dickinson (6-5-2, 2-3-1 CC) found its offense in the half and attempted eight shots – six of which were on goal. But Gray stood her ground and tied her season-high save total. She punctuated the victory with a diving stop on a header in the game's closing seconds.
Â
The Bullets finished with a 17-10 surplus in shots for the match.
Â
Gettysburg returns to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, when visits Bryn Mawr College at 1:30 p.m.
