Lauren Schapiro (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) and junior
Hannah Theurer (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) scored one goal apiece to lift the Gettysburg College women's soccer team to a 2-0 Centennial Conference (CC) victory at Bryn Mawr College Saturday afternoon.

Gettysburg (7-2-4, 4-2 CC) outshot the Owls 26-2 and held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Senior
Eliza Gray (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) saved the only shot she faced to earn her 44th career goalie victory, tying the school record held by Kathy Kroupa '95, who was inducted into the Gettysburg Hall of Athletic Honor Friday evening.

Schapiro gave the Bullets all of the offense they would need, when in the 25th minute she drilled in a free kick into the top of the lower right corner of the net for her team-high fifth goal of the year.

The Orange and Blue outshot the Owls 13-2 in the first half and 13-0 in the second. Theurer provided an insurance tally in the 77th minute, scoring on a penalty kick after Bryn Mawr was whistled for a handball in the box. It was the second goal of the season for Theurer and the first PK goal of her career.

Aviva Kosansky finished with five saves for Bryn Mawr (3-11, 1-6 CC).

Gettysburg returns home on Wednesday, when it faces undefeated McDaniel College at 7 p.m. in another Centennial Conference tilt.
