Peter Como (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) tied a career-high with six saves, leading the Gettysburg College men's soccer team to a 1-0 Centennial Conference victory at Washington College on Saturday.

With the win, the Bullets (9-4-1, 3-4 CC) kept their Centennial Conference playoff hopes alive. The Orange and Blue now enter their last two matches tied with Washington for the fifth and final playoff spot.

Will Gately (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) set up Gettysburg's big goal, finding DePontes with a pass from midfield in the 21st minute. DePontes then struck from the right side near the endline for his fifth goal of the season and what held up as the game-winner. It was the first career assist for Gately.

Gettysburg outshot Washington 5-2 in the first half before each side took seven shots in the second period, when Como collected five of his stops. He came up big down the stretch, when he made three outstanding saves in the final six minutes. He also sealed the win for the Bullets when he intercepted a corner kick in the closing seconds.

The Bullets close out the regular season at home, starting with a match versus top-ranked Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
