ARLINGTON, Va. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 non-conference decision at Marymount University Wednesday night.
 
Gettysburg (8-6) won the first set 28-26 before Marymount (11-4) swept the next three 25-22, 26-24, and 25-21.
 
Junior Laura Bergin (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) recorded her eighth outing with double-figure kills, knocking down a dozen at Marymount. Senior Courtney Morrow (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields) added nine kills and three blocks, while classmate Joosje Grevers (Westport, Conn./Staples) tallied seven kills and five blocks.
 
Sophomore setter Stephanie Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) turned in a well-rounded performance with seven kills, 35 assists, and a career-high 28 digs. Sophomore Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) added 14 digs and senior Alesha Miller (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) contributed a dozen digs.
 
Gettysburg travels to Washington College on Saturday, Sept. 26. The start time is set for 4 p.m.
