Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Pa. - Washington College turned in the final two goals to get by Gettysburg College 4-2 in Centennial Conference field hockey action Friday night.
Washington (4-3, 1-1 CC) pressed the action early with a series of shots and a pair of penalty corners before Elizabeth Davis tallied the first score of the game 12 minutes in. Gettysburg answered nine minutes later as junior
Kathryn Hardman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) collected her own rebound and pushed it to the back of the goal for her fourth score of the year.
Just 62 seconds later, the Shorewomen struck again as Michaela Conners tipped in a pass from Alli Dudley.

Alex Calder (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney) slapped in her first career goal on a penalty corner. Hardman picked up the assist after passing the ball in from the corner.
Gettysburg posted the first 14 shots of the second half, but the visitors could not convert as Washington goalie Sadie Robertson posted five of her game-high eight saves.
The Shorewomen scored twice in the final eight minutes. Allison Remenapp knocked home the first in the 63rd minute, while Davis added her second goal on a pass by Remenapp with less than five minutes left.
Gettysburg held a 22-9 edge in shots, while Washington led 10-8 in penalty corners.
Gettysburg hosts Stevenson University on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 4:30 p.m.
