BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Senior Samantha Wright (Darien, Conn./Darien) recorded her second career hat trick to lead Gettysburg College to a 5-0 win at Bryn Mawr College in Centennial Conference field hockey action Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (5-6, 3-3 CC) held Bryn Mawr (0-12, 0-7 CC) without a shot or a penalty corner in the contest. Wright provided the opening goal in the 15th minute and added her second on a pass from senior Kit Towers (Midlothian, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) just 57 seconds later.
 
The Bullets took a 3-0 advantage on senior Hannah Fitzgerald's (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) sixth goal of the season with 1:37 left in the first half.
 
Wright completed her hat trick in the 51st minute when Fitzgerald carried the ball into the scoring area and slipped a pass to her teammate. The score was Wright's team-best and career-high 10th of the campaign. Fitzgerald's assist was the 21st of her career, which moved her into a tie for second in program history.
 
Sophomore Victoria Umbach (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) capped the day with her fourth goal of the year with just over a minute remaining.
 
Junior Haley Mowery (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Northern) returned to the cage after missing the last two games due to injury. She played the entire first half to earn the victory.
 
Gettysburg hosts McDaniel College on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m.
