Box Score

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – Fourteen players hit the scoring column as the third-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team blew out SUNY Fredonia 20-4 on Thursday.

Gettysburg (6-0) registered the first seven goals with freshman Courtney Patterson (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) and junior Maggie Welsh (Rye, N.Y./Holy Child) each turning in two scores. After Fredonia (1-5) picked up back-to-back goals, junior Katie Landry (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) had a hand in the next three Bullet scores, logging a goal and two assists. The Orange and Blue led 10-3 at the break.

The two teams exchanged goals to start the final period, but Fredonia's goal at 25:41 would be its last. Gettysburg ended the game with a 9-0 run as eight different players hit the scoring column. Junior Maggie McClain (Wexford, Pa./Sewickley Academy) recorded a pair of goals during the run.

Gettysburg dominated the draw circle and won 23-of-25 draws in the game. Senior Caroline Jaeger (Hampton, N.J./North Hunterdon) grabbed six draw controls to go with one goal and one assist. Freshman Claire Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) added five draw controls, while junior Cassie Smith (Phoenix, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) and Patterson each corralled three.

Patterson was one of six Bullets to net a pair of goals, joining Welsh, McClain, Landry, freshman Liza Barr (Medford, N.J./Shawnee), and sophomore Steph Colson (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley). Landry added three assists.

All four Gettysburg goalies saw action with senior Shannon Keeler (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) making one save in the opening 11:56. Keeler earned the victory, giving her 52 for her career and moving her into second place on the program's all-time list.

Gettysburg hosts No. 9 York (Pa.) College on Wednesday, March 22, at 4 p.m.
