CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Gettysburg College women's soccer team used a balanced offensive attack to win its Centennial Conference (CC) opener by a count of 4-2 at Washington College on Saturday.

Four different players found the back of the net for the Bullets (3-1-1, 1-0 CC), who are now undefeated over their last four matches.

Senior
Maddie Heaney (Allendale, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) scored a career-high four points on one goal and two assists for Gettysburg, which posted its highest offensive output since a 5-0 victory over Hiram on Sept. 5, 2015. Senior
Krissy Bradley (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) added one goal and one assist while sophomore
Brooke Priddy (Darnestown, Md./Bullis School) handed out a pair of helpers.

The Bullets outshot Washington 14-9, but the Shorewomen (4-2, 0-1 CC) struck first when Oliva Sabatino scored in the 11th minute. However, Heaney pulled Gettysburg even just over a minute later, when she converted off a header from Priddy. It was Heaney's first goal since the team's aforementioned victory over Hiram.

Gettysburg went ahead to stay when, in the 30th minute, Heaney headed a loose ball to Bradley, who netted a goal with a header of her own. The Bullets outshot Washington 8-2 in the opening half and carried a 2-1 lead into the locker room.

The Orange and Blue scored the first two goals of the second half to extend their lead to 4-1. In the 55th minute, junior
Lauren Miesemser (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) buried another header pass from Heaney, who had accepted a corner kick from Priddy.

The final tally of the game for Gettysburg came in the 66th minute off the foot of sophomore
Caroline Kostecky (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson Fair Haven), who finished off an assist from Bradley for her first collegiate goal.

Lindsay Russell set the final score when she scored in the 70th minute.

Washington held a 7-6 edge in shots in the second half, when freshman
Kerry Sammon (Pearl River, N.Y./Academy of the Holy Angels) made both of her saves.

Gettysburg closes out its five-game road trip on Wednesday, when it visits McDaniel at 4 p.m. in another Centennial Conference tilt.
