GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team picked up its second win of the fall campaign with an 8-1 victory over visiting St. Mary's (Md.) College Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (2-0) swept through doubles play with senior Jacob Meehan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) and sophomore Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) setting the tone with an 8-1 win at No. 3. Senior Nick D'Amore (Scotch Plains, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) and junior Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) teamed up for an 8-4 win at second doubles, while the senior tandem of Andrew Corwin (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and Kevin Maier (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) produced an 8-5 decision at No. 2.
 
St. Mary's (0-1) picked up its lone win at the top singles flight, but the Bullets swept the four contested matches in straight-sets. Sophomore Tommy Gilio (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) pitched a shutout (6-0, 6-0) at the sixth flight and Mills dropped only two games in a 6-0, 6-2 win over Samuel Sheats at No. 3. Corwin won 6-3, 6-1 and Brown won 7-5, 6-3 at the fourth and fifth flights, respectively. Maier rounded out the win with a forfeit at No. 2.
 
Gettysburg hosts Bridgewater College on Monday at 4 p.m.
