How It Happened…
- First Quarter: Gettysburg controlled the game flow in the first period, but the Bryn Mawr defense kept the Bullets from a clean look at the cage. All three shot attempts by the hosts were blocked or wide.
- Second Quarter: Titus denied two shots on goal by Soares and sophomore Madeleine Pagliaro (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) in the first 6:30 of the period. Bryn Mawr's first shot attempt by Megan O'Shea was wide of the cage.
- Third Quarter: The Bullets struck first in the third quarter. After earning a penalty corner, Vadinsky corralled the ball from a defender and hit a hard shot into the cage for her fourth goal of the season in the 35th minute. The lead was short-lived as Bergman knocked in a pass from Sara Rilatt in the 36th minute. Soares would give her team the advantage by cleaning up a rebound in front of the goal for her team-best eighth goal in the 41st minute.
- Fourth Quarter: The Owls held the Bullets without a shot on goal until the waning moments of the final period. Bergman tied the game in the 52nd minute, controlling a cross from Paige Davis and hitting it home. Bertrando tried to give her team the win with a backhanded shot in the 59th minute, but Titus stopped the shot.
- Overtime: Gettysburg was intent on ending the game with four shots on goal. Titus was up to the task with saves on each attempt, while Caputo picked up a pair of stops on shots by German and O'Shea in the final 17 seconds.
- Double Overtime: The Bullets broke out on a fast-break in the opening minutes of the second overtime period with sophomore Henna Fraiman (Lutherville, Md./Roland Park Country) going head-to-head with Titus. The Owls keeper won the battle, booting Fraiman's touch away in the 72nd minute. In the final minute of the second extra period, Bryn Mawr made its move with Cugini driving down the middle of the field and taking a right-to-left shot that found the mark.
