Bullets Remain Perfect against Bryn Mawr

Gettysburg improves to 27-0 all-time against Owls

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team maintained its perfect mark in the all-time series against Bryn Mawr College, improving to 27-0 with a 3-0 victory in a Centennial Conference contest inside Bream Gym Saturday afternoon.

Match Summary
  • Set 1: Gettysburg overpowered Bryn Mawr in the opening set. The junior racked up six aces as part of a 13-0 run.
  • Set 2: Bryn Mawr battled back from a six-point deficit to pull to 12-10 on an attack error by the Bullets. The hosts rattled off an 8-2 run capped by a block by Garison and junior Faith Adams (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) that made it 20-12. A kill by Garison and an attack error by the Owls accounted for the final two points in the set.
  • Set 3: Gettysburg led 7-6 before a 9-1 run ran the score to a 16-7 advantage. Bryn Mawr refused to back down and managed to slice the deficit down to two (24-22) on an ace by Izzy Gerosa. Gerosa's next serve hit the net to seal the match win for the Bullets.
 
Where the Series Stands Now
Gettysburg moved to 27-0 against Bryn Mawr since the series began in 1993. All but two of those decisions have been 3-0.
 
Next Up
Gettysburg hosts Haverford College and Stevenson University next Saturday, Oct. 12. The Bullets battle the Fords at 1 p.m. before meeting the Mustangs at 5.
