How It Happened…
- First Half: The Bullets offense started flowing quickly as the teams leading scorer Thomas netted the first tally 2:41 into the match. Carroll was credited with the assist, his fifth on the season. Thomas posted his second goal of the match with three minutes left in the half as O'Donnell dished the pass for the assist. Gettysburg scored two goals on six shot attempts, and the Bullets stingy defense limited Oglethorpe to only two.
- Second Half: The Petrels defense held a 1.04 goals-against average entering today's match but had no answers for the Bullets as the Orange and Blue tacked on three more goals. O'Donnell, who has played a crucial role for the Bullets offense in the postseason, scored the team's third goal nine minutes into the half. An Oglethorpe defensive miscue 10 minutes later extended the Bullets' advantage. Gettysburg's final tally of the match served as a memorable first for both freshman Digiacomo and sophomore Ventimigli. Ventimiglia found Digiacomo with 32 seconds remaining to conclude the opening match with a first career assist and goal, respectively.
By the Numbers
- The Bullets owned the 11-6 advantage on shots and the 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

- Thomas' has registered 15 goals this season, tying him for sixth all-time in the programs single-season record with 2019 Hall of Athletic Honor inductee Chris Pryor '00.
