CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The regionally ranked Gettysburg College men's soccer team claimed its fourth consecutive win over Washington College in the Centennial Conference opener.

How it Happened
First Half:
- Gettysburg was close to scoring on multiple occasions in the opening stanza with shots hitting the crossbar, post, and being stopped by Washington's goalkeeper Gavin Campbell. However, the Bullets broke through at the 36:47 marker when Molina passed the ball into the box to Thomas, who quickly moved and shot into the back of the net.
- The Bullets took one last shot in the final five minutes, but senior Precious Ozoh (Abuja, Nigeria/Holderness School [N.H.]) shot was blocked. The team concluded the half by outshooting the Shoremen 10-1.
Second Half:
- Gettysburg added to the lead 25 minutes into the final stanza when Omosanya headed in his second goal of the season off a free kick as Midura was credited with his first career assist.
- Ten minutes later, the ball was sent into the box and was deflected off a defender when Carroll put in the final tally.
- Washington tried putting in some goals in the final six minutes, but a pair of shots went wide.

Mark Mettrick. "First game in the conference can be tricky, especially on the road. I thought our team did a good job working hard and pressing our opponent while creating chances and limiting our opponents opportunities."
