How it Happened
First Half: Both teams pounded at the net in the first half, nearly missing the net on several occasions, but were unable to put one in. The Bullets ended the half with 10 shots to the Blue Jays six.
Second Half: The visitors almost scored 10 minutes into the half, but the Bullets played fantastic defense as the backline stepped in and stopped a shot from going into the cage at the 55:10 marker. The Blue Jays did accumulate a goal less than 1:30 later as reigning Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year Lydia Lawless dished a pass to Kristin Wilkinson who shot in the lower right corner for the lead. Five minutes later, Muskus made her way inside the 18 to tally a goal into the right side of the net to tie the game at 1-1. The Orange and Blue prevailed as freshman
Grace Slevin (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) received a pass from Bedell at the 70th minute for the game-winning goal. The Bullets defense was outstanding as the backline did not allow an Elizabethtown shot in the final 16 minutes.
