How It Happened…
	- First Half

		- The scoring opened with quite possibly the easiest goal of Barr's standout career as the senior drew a foul in front of the cage on Gilbert. With the General goalie behind her on the eight-meter arc, Barr took one step and fired a shot into the empty net at 24:39. Less than a minute later, the senior dished the ball to junior Bri Stokes (Sudbury, Mass./Sudbury-Lincoln) to make it 2-0.
- Senior Claire Macatee (Bel Air, Md./North Harford) forced a turnover a few minutes later and the Bullets charged up the field with senior Maria Nemeth (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) breaking through the defense for the game's third goal with 20:52 remaining in the first half.
- Faria tossed in Washington and Lee's first goal following a yellow card on the Bullets and back-to-back tallies by Schwab tied the game 3-3 at 13:17. Lee recorded half of her game-high 10 saves in the final 10 minutes, while Gilbert came up with a pair of stops inside the final 80 seconds to keep the score tied heading into halftime.

- Second Half

		- The Generals took their first lead when Landon Shelley found Schwab cutting to the cage to make it 4-3 just 46 seconds into the period. Less than two minutes later, Orzechowski forced the first of six second-half ties on a free-position goal. Faria scored 38 seconds later to put the hosts back in front 5-4.
- Barr steered the Bullets back in front with two goals. She dashed to the cage and tossed a low shot past Gilbert on a free-position attempt at 23:30 and added another score on a feed by Orzechowski to make it 6-5 at 18:59. After another tie, Patterson jumped into the scoring column with each of Gettysburg's next two goals, the final of which marked the 100th of her career and lifted the Bullets in front 8-7 with 14:30 remaining.
- Washington and Lee came up with a pair of big plays defensively as Gilbert thwarted a free-position shot by Barr and Catherine Arrix tallied a caused turnover not long after. Murray converted a free-position goal to tie the game 8-8 at 12:08.
- Gettysburg took its final lead at 9-8 following a goal by junior Kerry McKeever (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) off a pass from Orzechowski. Faria kicked off a game-ending 4-0 run by the hosts at 10:33. Gilbert posted a caused turnover and two saves on Gettysburg's next two possessions, while Christina Cavallo and Murray padded the advantage. Another goal by Cavallo with 1:46 left and a win on the ensuing draw control sealed the victory for Washington and Lee.

By the Numbers
	- Washington and Lee led in shots (35-22) and ground balls (24-11), while Gettysburg finished with a 12-11 lead in draw controls.
- Sunday's contest featured a similar storyline to last year's meeting between Gettysburg and W&L. In that contest, the Generals led 8-7 before the Bullets rallied with four of the final five goals in an 11-9 decision.
- Gettysburg lost its first game during the month of March in over two seasons. The Bullets had won their last 13 games played in the month since a 7-6 setback to No. 2 TCNJ on March 30, 2017.
- Barr slid into the program's top 10 for career points and is tied for ninth with Bridget Kenny '15 with 235.
- Patterson became the third current player with 100 career goals, joining Barr (121) and McKeever (116). Patterson is one of only five Bullets with 100 goals and 200 draw controls in a career.
Where the Series Stands
