SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Gettysburg College rolled to a victory in the opening set, but the good times stopped there as Swarthmore College led for most of the next three contests on the way to a 3-1 decision in Centennial Conference volleyball action.

Match Summary
- First Set: Swarthmore ran off a 7-1 run and took a 9-5 lead following back-to-back hitting errors by the Bullets. Gettysburg came right back with its own 8-1 streak, taking full advantage of a series of errors by the hosts. An ace by Ellis gave the Bullets the lead for good at 13-11. The Garnet tied the match twice at 20-20 and 21-21 before Gettysburg ran off the final four points.
- Second Set: Gettysburg jumped out with the first two points, but that would be the extent of the lead. Swarthmore scored three-straight points and never looked back. Leading 8-7, the Garnet went on a 9-1 run with Razdan supplying a trio of kills. The Bullets cut the margin late in the set and pulled within two points at 23-21 on a kill by Horowitz. After exchanging points, an attack error by the Bullets sealed the decision for Swarthmore.
- Third Set: The third set mirrored the second with Gettysburg scoring the first two points before Swarthmore rattled off four-straight points. Horowitz forced a tie at 9-9 with a kill, but three-straight points put Swarthmore back on the winning side. The Garnet led by as many as five before the Bullets rallied late in the set, pulling to within a point three times before the hosts claimed set point.
- Fourth Set: Swarthmore jumped out with the first five points and led 10-2 following an attack error by the Bullets. Gettysburg pulled within four at 11-7, but the hosts tallied three-straight points and maintained at least a six-point advantage until the final point.
By the Numbers
- Gettysburg finished with more kills (53) and blocks (8), while Swarthmore tallied more aces (10) and digs (75-62).
- Ellis and Nasir each posted 20 or more assists in a match for the second time this season. Ellis (34) and Nasir (22) combined for a season-high 56 assists against Rowan. The setting duo are averaging a combined 10.18 assists per set.
- Kuba-McCoy recorded her ninth double-double and her 12th match with 10 or more kills. The junior has put up 15 or more kills nine times this fall.
- O'Leary recorded her fifth match with at least 20 digs, and her third in the last four outings. She recorded 61 digs in nine sets this week.
Where the Series Stands Now
Swarthmore earned its seventh-straight win over Gettysburg. The Bullets lead the all-time series 30-10.
