How It Happened…
  • First Half: The River Hawks jumped on the scoreboard ten minutes into the half off a Brian McKee goal, and the team accumulated their second at the 31:31 marker. McKee had his hand on both goals as he dished a free kick pass to Clay Yannazone, who headed into the back of the net for the 2-0 lead. The Bullets cut the deficit down to one 22 seconds later as Coulibaly sent a pass from the right side to Gaynor as he knocked into the goal for the tally. The Bullets controlled the first half, firing 15 shot attempts to the River Hawks seven to head into halftime down 2-1.
  • Second Half: The second half proved to be a much different story for the Bullets as they found their offensive groove by posting four goals. Three of which came during a nine-minute outburst, with the first coming from Carroll 16 minutes into the period. Carroll tied the game at 2-2 as he beat out a defender and shot into the right side for the tally. Four minutes later, Carroll headed the ball perfectly into the right side of the net to strike again off a pass from Gaynor. DiSimplico added his name to the scoring column three minutes later off a corner kick that went past the goalkeeper's hands to make it 4-2. With six minutes remaining, Giquinto sent the ball to Diallo as he beat the defender for his second goal of the season and the final of the night to down Susquehanna 5-2.
