NCAA Division III Regional Ranking
INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released its third Division III men's soccer regional poll on Wednesday, and Gettysburg was ranked sixth in Region V.
In the third NCAA regional poll of the season, Gettysburg (12-4-2, 5-3-1 CC) posted a 1-1 record last week. The Bullets defeated non-conference opponent Catholic University 2-1 on Clark Field and fell 2-1 at Centennial Conference foe Muhlenberg College last Saturday.
The NCAA ranked eight teams in its Region V poll, with Messiah University earning the No. 1 spot again this week. After defeating Johns Hopkins University last week, Franklin & Marshall College is ranked second and are followed by Johns Hopkins (No. 3), Washington College (No. 4), Swarthmore College (No. 5), Gettysburg, Lebanon Valley College (No. 7), and Eastern University (No. 8).
Gettysburg finished the regular season unbeaten at home with a 7-0-1 record, marking the first time since 2016 that it has been accomplished.
The Bullets were also ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Region V poll.
Gettysburg will play at No. 25 Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference Championship semifinals on Friday in Baltimore, Md.
