United Soccer Coaches Division III Region V Poll
KANAS CITY, Mo. – For the second week in a row, the Gettysburg College men's soccer team has garnered recognition from the United Soccer Coaches weekly Division III Region V poll, it was announced Tuesday.
Ranked fifth in the first poll of the season, the Bullets (3-1-1) check-in at No. 7 after going 1-1 last week. Gettysburg lost 4-3 at Lebanon Valley College (5-1-0), who is now ranked No. 10 in the regional ranking, before blanking Centennial Conference foe Ursinus College 3-0 in the conference home opener on Saturday.
Other Centennial Conference schools appearing in the regional poll were No. 2 Muhlenberg College (4-0-1), No. 3 Johns Hopkins University (3-0-2), No. 5 Washington College (5-2), No. 6 Franklin & Marshall (4-1-0), and No. 9 Swarthmore College (3-2). Also appearing were No. 1 Messiah University (4-0-1), No. 4 Eastern College (6-0), and No. 8 Moravian College (3-2-1).
Gettysburg returns to action on Wednesday, when they welcome non-conference foe Stevenson University to Clark Field at 4 p.m.
