THE LEADERS
•
Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) led the Bullets, establishing a career best with 16 kills.
•Â
Kylie Ulrich (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) added nine kills and a career-best nine total blocks. It was part of a 17-block night for Gettysburg as a team.
•Â
Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) added a double-double in her final collegiate match, contributing 11 kills and 12 digs. She also had three blocks.
FOR THE FOES
• Simrin Carlsen recorded 15 kills and 14 digs to lead the Blue Jays, who will take on Franklin & Marshall in the championship match on Sunday.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first set featured nine ties and six lead changes before a Kendall Epernbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) ace highlighted a 3-0 burst to put Gettysburg in front, 15-13.
Mary Huegel served the final four points of the set for a 25-18 win.
• Tied at 9-all in the second set just after a long rallied that ultimately went Johns Hopkins way, the Blue Jays reeled off a 10-1 run to take control of the second set. The Blue Jays finished off a 25-14 win to even the match at 1-all.
• The third set started much the same way the first two began. With Gettysburg in front 18-14,
Zanze Kuba-McCoy served Gettysburg to within set point before an
Alycen Radolovic kill finished off the 25-15 victory.
• The fourth set once again featured nine ties and six lead changes. The Blue Jays led by as many as five at 21-16 before a block assist from
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) and
Kylie Ulrich coupled with a Radolovic kill trimmed the deficit to three. An Ulrich ace made it 22-20 before another Rodolovic kill drew Gettysburg within one. The Blue Jays reached set point on a Brooklyn Pater kill that hit the backline before Kuba-McCoy responded with a tip for a kill and force a Johns Hopkins timeout. A service error gave the hosts a 25-23 win.
• The fifth set also started back-and-forth. Trailing 6-4, the Blue Jays ran off six straight points including tying the score and taking the lead on a pair of balls just inside the back line. After a timeout at 12-8, Johns Hopkins went long on the ensuing serve. Simrin Carlsen made it 13-10 with a kill off a block attempt. At 14-11, a blocking error was called to give Johns Hopkins the match.
