Six Gettysburg players named to All-CC men’s soccer team

LANCASTER, Pa. – Six members of the Gettysburg men's soccer team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Wednesday.

Jack Carroll (Leonia, N.J./Bergen Catholic) was named to the first team while Athi Msiza (Gauteng, South Africa/Berkshire School) and Nikko DiSimplico (Hockessin, Del./Salesianum School) were selected to the second team. Aidan Muller (Cape Town, South Africa/Putnam Science Academy), Gaoussou Coulibaly (Bronx, N.Y./Urban Assembly for Media/Berkshire), and Nur Adhikarie (Cape Town, South Africa/Taft School) were tabbed honorable mention.

Msiza was also named the conference's Rookie of the Year. He is the second Gettysburg player to earn the accolade since the award was introduced in 2012 and first since 2018.

Carroll, a senior forward, is making his second appearance on the all-conference team after garnering honorable mention honors last season. Starting 14 of his 16 appearances, Carroll led the team with nine goals. His goal total ranked second in the conference. His 18 points was also best on the team and second in the conference. He netted four game-winning goals on the year.

Msiza, a freshman forward, is making his first all-conference appearance. Starting all 18 games, he paced the squad with five assists while adding three goals to rank third on the team with 11 points. He registered at least one point in five of his first six collegiate games. His five assists was tied for second in the conference.

DiSimplico, a senior midfielder, is making his first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 18 games, he contributed two assists on the year.

Muller, a sophomore midfielder, is making his first all-conference appearance. Starting 16 of his 17 appearances, he was second on the team with five goals and 12 points. He scored two goals in a 3-2 win over Stevenson on Sept. 21. He had two game-winning tallies.

Coulibaly, a junior midfielder, is making his first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting 14 of his 17 appearances, he contributed 10 shots to the offense was but also part of a group that held opponents to a 1.00 goals-against average on the year.

Adhikarie, a sophomore defender, earns his second straight honorable-mention accolade from the conference. Starting 15 of his 17 appearances, he was a key member of the defensive unit that held opponents to a 1.00 goals-against average.

DiSimplico also garnered a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Bullets (9-4-5, 4-2-3 CC) advanced to the CC tournament, earning the No. 4 seed and hosting a first-round contest.
