Gettysburg College Athletics

Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 43rd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (4-5-2, 1-1-2 CC) and Washington (Md.) (8-0-5, 4-0-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1947. The Bullets lead the all-time series 25-10-7 but the Shoremen have won the last two meetings.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Washington (Md.) capitalized on a rebound midway through the second half for a 1-0 win over Gettysburg last season. Connor Fife took four shots to lead the Bullets. Jackson Sopa scored the game's lone goal for the Shoremen. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Mary Washington, ranked second, ripped off 30 shots in a 4-1 win over Gettysburg. Aidan Gaynor scored his first goal of the season to get the Bullets on the board in the 82nd minute. TOGETHER DEFENSIVE: The Bullets have only had four players start all 11 games this season and all four are members of the Gettysburg defensive unit. Kevin Muhic has backstopped the defense, playing every minute in goal this season. Nur Adhikarie, Gaoussou Colulibaly and Fritz Reiter have been stalwarts on the backline all season.

NOT TAKING THE L: Washington ran its unbeaten streak to 13 games this season, entering the weekend with an 8-0-5 mark. The Shoremen have won seven straight since a 2-all draw with Dickinson on Sept. 16. Six of those seven victories have come by one goal, including four 1-0 wins. The squad has a conference-best 0.62 goals-against average this season with six total shutouts.
