The teams traded points to a 15-8 Gettysburg lead before a 4-0 Bullets run allowed them to double up on the Bears. The Bullets put together two more 2-0 runs and Lauletta killed the ball for a 25-12 first set win.
• In the second set, it was Gettysburg who started up 5-1 before Ursinus used three Gettysburg errors to close within one point. Ursinus then started a 5-2 run, fueled by Mel Eglinton kills and Gettysburg errors to take a 13-9 lead. Gettysburg battled to within three points, but Ursinus put together a 4- run to stretch their lead to seven. Gettysburg could only string together six more points on the set as Ursinus killed the ball several times to win set two, 25-18.
• Gettysburg held the lead again in the third set, starting out with a 7-2 advantage, before Ursinus put together five straight to tie the score. The teams traded points until Gettysburg went on their own 4-0 run to notch a 12-8 lead. Three different Bullets had a kill in the run. Another three straight points for Ursinus brought them within one, but Gettysburg countered with their own 3-0 run, including two
Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) kills and an Ulrich and Biggs block. Gettysburg added in two more 2-0 runs to make it a 20-4 lead for the hosts. Not to be counted out, Ursinus went on a huge lead-overtaking 7-0 run. Three Bears killed the ball during the visitors' run. However, Gettysburg used two Huegel kills and a block by Huegel and
Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/The Beaumont School) to take set three, 25-21.
• In the final set, the teams remained within two point until a massive 9-0 Gettysburg streak that doubled them up on the Bears, 12-6. Nine of the points in the run were Huegel kills. The teams traded points to a 20-15 Gettysburg lead, before the Bullets rattled off three straight to make it 23-15. Ursinus got one more kill on the set before Biggs and
Catherine Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) ended things with a block for the 25-16 fourth set win.
