Neither team scored until the second half, when Washington put up two goals in the third period. Gettysburg countered with a score in the fourth quarter but couldn't complete the comeback in their final game of the season.

• Samantha McMahon scored the eventual gamewinner for the Shorewomen.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg outshot Washington 10-8 in the first half of play, but neither team could convert for a scoreless deadlock after 30 minutes.
• Just five minutes into the second half, Alexis Tackney put a pass into the middle of the circle where MaryCate Anson was there to convert the first goal of the game. Just 42 seconds late, Brynn Balliet crossed the ball to McMahon who tucked it into the near left post.
• In the 58th minute, a Gettysburg corner by
Gaby Markunas (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) found its way to Rhine, who knocked it in to break up the shutout. Neither team managed another shot for the remaining two minutes.

• Washington outshot Gettysburg 15-14, but only had eight on target, while ten of Gettysburg's were on the mark.
