Gettysburg scored a pair of first-half goals, carrying play for the majority of the half, en route to a 3-0 win over Misericordia.

• Just over seven minutes into the game,
Athi Msiza took possession on the left wing before setting up a cross into that that
Noah Holgado (Middletown, Del./Salesianum School) headed into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead at the 7:33 mark. In the 23rd minute,
Josue De Leon Sabala (Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic/The Kiski School [Pa.]) sent a ball towards the goal from the right side of the field.
Fritz Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Quaker Valley) raced and saved the ball from going over the end line, redirecting it to Msiza, who buried it in the left side of the net for a 2-0 lead.
• Misericordia carried play for the better part of the second half but the Gettysburg backline held the Cougars to just four shots after halftime and off the board. A trip in the box was called in the 86th minute and
Aidan Muller (Cape Town, South Africa/Putnam Science Academy [Conn.]) poked home the ensuing penalty kick for the 3-0 final.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 19-5 advantage in shots and 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
