THE SKINNY STORY
Baldwin Wallace outscored Gettysburg 42-24 in the second half to overcome an early deficit and notch a 58-51 win in the opening round of the Chuck Resler Tournament hosted by Rochester.

THE LEADERS
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led the Bullets with 21 points.

• Caely Ressler paced the Yellow Jackets with 19 points and nine rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Behind baskets from four different players, Gettysburg built a 10-0 lead through the game's first 5:37. A single AB Holsinger (Crozet, Va./Langley) free throw stretched the advantage to 11-0 with 1:05 to play before a Kira Philpot layup got Baldwin Wallace on the scoreboard with 36 seconds left. A Caitlyn Priore (Holland, Pa./Germantown Academy) layup made it 13-2 after the first period.
• Five straight points from Alayna Arnolie and five points from Priore stretched the lead to 23-2 with 7:42 on the second-quarter clock. The Yellow Jackets, however, scored the next nine points to close to within 23-11 en route to a 27-16 deficit at the break.
• Arnolie opened the third quarter with five straight points and Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) added two free throws to stretch the lead to 18 before two minutes had elapsed in the third quarter. A Caely Ressler second-change triple with 7:17 on the clock ignited a 15-4 run that closed the margin to 38-31 with 89 ticks left in the quarter. Two Violante free throws momentarily pushed the lead back to nine but 3-pointers from Carolyn Wochele and Ressler made it a three-point game at the end of the period.
• Wochele hit another 3-pointer on the opening possession of the fourth quarter to tie the game. After a Holsinger free throw put Gettysburg back in front, a Ressler pull-up 3-pointer gave the Yellow Jackets their first lead of the game with 8:57 remaining. Holsinger tied the game once again but an Emily Irwin trey and Ressler layup made it a 48-43 Baldwin Wallace lead with 6:42 to play. The Bullets went nearly three and a half minutes without a point down the stretch.

Caitlyn Priore finished with nine points and five rebounds.
