A Caely Ressler second-change triple with 7:17 on the clock ignited a 15-4 run that closed the margin to 38-31 with 89 ticks left in the quarter. Two Violante free throws momentarily pushed the lead back to nine but 3-pointers from Carolyn Wochele and Ressler made it a three-point game at the end of the period.

After a Holsinger free throw put Gettysburg back in front, a Ressler pull-up 3-pointer gave the Yellow Jackets their first lead of the game with 8:57 remaining. Holsinger tied the game once again but an Emily Irwin trey and Ressler layup made it a 48-43 Baldwin Wallace lead with 6:42 to play.
