LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg had two three-run innings and a six-run bottom of the eight to defeat Thiel 14-1 in the finale of the spring-break trip on Saturday. Nathan Masteralexis earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings with three strikeouts and only one run allowed. Jack Pistner had a 3-for-5 day, including a triple. SOUTHERN SWING IN THE BOOKS: Gettysburg returns home after completing a 5-3 trip to Fort Pierce, Fla. The Bullets will now play four home games over the next three days before their first two true road games in more than three weeks next Tuesday (at Lancaster Bible) and Wednesday (at Juniata). In total over the next 14 days, Gettysburg plays 10 more non-conference games before conference play opens on Apr. 1.
HITTIN' JACK: Jack Pistner returns north as the top hitter on the Bullets squad this season. He is hitting at a .524 clip with four doubles, five triples, and a home run for a .929 slugging percentage. Pistner has at least one hit in all 11 games he's played this season, including seven multiple-hit games.
