THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg rapped out 16 hits in a 10-6 victory over Fitchburg State after dropping a 4-0 decision to Kean earlier in the day.

THE LEADERS
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) led the Bullets with three hits in the nightcap that included a pair of home runs with four RBIs.
Jess Campana (Brick, N.J./St. John Vianney) had five hits on the day that included three hits against Fitchburg.

FOR THE FOES
• Karly Messina led the Cougars with two hits.
• Madison Mantegani paced the Falcons with a hit, two RBIs, and two walks.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the first game against Kean, Melody Caces led off the bottom of the first with an infield single before a two-out Autaum Hilyer single up the middle scored Caces from third for a 1-0 lead.
• Gettysburg had a chance to tie the game in the sixth when Julia Smith (Marydel, Md./Queen Anne's County) reached on a two-out single to right and Jess Campana followed with a flair to right that got through the opening in the fence to the right of the foul pole for a ground-rule double, forcing Smith to stop at third base. Annabella Manno then induce one of her 16 groundball outs to keep it a 1-0 lead.
• The Cougars then took advantage of errors and two walks in the top of the seventh to tack on three more runs.
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) led off the Fitchburg State game with a single to center before taking second on a groundout and scoring on a Campana single for a 1-0 lead.
• Three walks, two hit batters and an error on the bottom of the first helped the Falcons plate three runs for a 3-1 lead.
• In the top of the second, Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) drew a one-out walk and Megan Hughes (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) made it first and second with a two-out walk before O'Leary blasted a ball over the fence in left-center for a 4-3 lead.
• With two outs in the third, Michaela Carroll (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) and Gianna Peralta (Gillette, N.J./Union Catholic) singled before Goldstein doubled to the fence in left for a 6-3 advantage.
• With one out in the fourth, O'Leary blasted a 1-0 pitch to straightaway center for her second homer of the night. Campana doubled with two outs before scoring on an Allegra DeCandia (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) single up the middle. Carroll then doubled into the left-field corner to plate DeCandia and stretch the lead to 9-3 lead.
• An error to start the home half of the inning helped Fitchburg get two of the runs back. Lauren Kirkconnell followed with a double that got to the fence in right to put runners at second and third. Allison Pogorek followed with a single up the middle to make it 9-4 with runners at the corners. After back-to-back walks made it 9-5, Hughes induced a 1-2-3 double play and got a second straight ground ball to get out of the inning.
• With two outs in the seventh, Jordan Pansy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Notre Dame) poked a two-out single to left before scoring off a Hughes double off the top of the fence for the final margin.
