An 11-minute stretch of the first half yielded all of the offense the entire game would see with Sewanee bookended a Gettysburg goal for a 2-1 victory in the season opener for both teams.

• Will Hawgood opened the scoring, finishing a high shot off a feed from Tyler Cozzie at the 21:42 mark. Gettysburg responded nearly six minutes later with the
Chase Sempervive tally in the lower-left side of the net. Nearly five minutes after the equalizing tally, Connor Dail found Tyler Scott for the final tally.
