THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a back-and-forth first half that saw Gettysburg take only two shots and Catholic launch just three, the score remained deadlocked. Catholic goalie Ava Rieger made two saves in the frame to keep Gettysburg off the board, while Jurow made one.
• Catholic's Isabel Doherty got the first good look of the second half just 34 seconds in, but it was turned away. 13 minutes later,
Carli Cameron (Southampton, N.Y./Southampton) found
Zoe Want for her second goal of the season to give Gettysburg the advantage. From that point forward, the Cardinals were desperate to score and outshot the Bullets 8-0 the rest of the way. Jurow stopped three within the stretch to preserve the shutout.
