•
Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) put up three blocks in her first match of the season.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• The teams traded points to an early 4-all tie, before Gettysburg went 9-4 with the Valiants to notch a 13-8 first set score. Seven different Bullets registered a kill within the stretch. Gettysburg then went 4-2 with Manhattanville, off two
Erin Gonzalez kills, as well as one each by
Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Demarest) and
Catherine Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham). Gettysburg continued to run away with the set, getting out to a ten-point lead over the Valiants, 22-12. A kill and service error by each team got the Bullets to set point, before Holtz killed the ball to take the teams into set two, 25-14.
• After six early ties in the second set, the last being at 9-all, Gettysburg went on an 8-3 run to make it a 17-12 lead for the Bullets.
Olivia Biggs had a kill and a block during the run. Two kills by Loren Hernandez chipped the deficit to three points for the Valiants, before a series of service aces and errors by both teams brought the Bullets back out to a 22-17 lead. A Gettysburg kill and four straight Manhattanville points, all from Gettysburg errors, brought the Valiants back within two points, 23-21, forcing a Gettysburg timeout. Out of the break, a Biggs and Holtz block got the Bullets to set point, and a Gonzalez kill finally put the second set to bed, 25-21.
• The third set once again saw three early ties before two
Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) kills and a
Callie Pidoriano (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) ace started to put distance between the two teams.
Kylie Ulrich (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and Gonzalez also added kills to notch a 13-8 score. Two straight
Sophie Nasir aces made it a seven-point gap, before a Manhattanville error and Biggs and Radolovic block got the Bullets doubled up on the Valiants, 18-9. A Valiants timeout resulted in them notching three straight points to bring back a seven-point gap before
Izzy Lugar (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) killed the ball to make it a 20-12 score. Two Ulrich and one Gonzalez kills got the Bullets to match point, and a final Ulrich kill ended the match, with a set three score of 25-15 and a 3-0 match score.
