OPENING TIP: Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 53rd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (8-3, 5-1 CC) and Haverford (4-7, 1-5 CC) in a series that dates back to 1994. The Bullets lead the all-time series 36-16 but the series is much closer since 2018 with Gettysburg holding a 7-6 edge over the last five seasons. The teams split last season series with each team winning on the other’s home court..  

WHEN LAST WE MET: After a relatively close first half, Gettysburg streaked away in the second half to defeat Haverford 70-53 on Feb. 11. Alayna Arnolie led the Bullets with 20 points. Mackenzie Szlosek tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Ally Landau led the Fords with 17 points and five assists. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg had four players score eight or more points and limited Swarthmore to 24.2 percent shooting to open the new year with a 61-32 road victory on Saturday. Kimberly Hopkins led the Bullets with a career-best 15 points, hitting all four of her field goals and going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. Anna Hansson led the Garnet with 12 points. DOING IT WITH DEFENSE: The Bullets have held four opponents under 40 points in a game this season, including in each of the last two outings. After allowing a season-high 72 points to Marietta on Dec. 29, Gettysburg locked down then-No. 17 Trine for just 38 points and carried that momentum into its 2024 opening, limiting Swarthmore to just 38 points on Saturday. The Bullets are holding their opponents to 32.3 percent shooting and an average of just 50.8 points per game. Gettysburg is also tops in the league in blocks per game at 6.6 swats per contest. Caitlyn Priore and Shinya Lee are 2-3 in the conference in blocked shots at 2.7 and 1.9 bpg, respectively. On Saturday, the Bullets held Swarthmore to just two free throws in the second quarter. In total, Swarthmore went 17 minutes, 4 seconds without a field goal.

LAST TIME OUT: Haverford wase denied a victory by visiting Dickinson on Saturday, 71-51. Both teams traded buckets to begin the contest but the Red Devils pushed out to a 13-6 lead with 4:31 remaining in the first quarter. The 13-point spurt was highlighted by six points from Clair Marion and four points from Mia Chapman. For the Fords, Audrey Jakway scored a career-high 16 points while Ally Landau tallied 13 points. A-NUMBER 1: Ally Landau is the only Haverford player averaging double figures on the year at 16.5 points per game. The senior has only played in six games this season but has tallied 31 points in two of those outings. She has scored just 37 in the other four games combined. As a team, the Fords are scoring just 49.3 points per contest. Haverford is 4-0 this season when scoring more than 55 points but has failed to reach that mark in each of its seven losses.
