Gettysburg got a goal in the 13th minute then withstood a second half of pressure from No. 22 Johns Hopkins to hold on for a 1-0 win.

Aidan Muller (Cape Town, South Africa/Putnam Science Academy) scored the game's lone goal for the Bullets.

• Rishi Pathak recorded two second-half shots for the Blue Jays, providing a spark of ball control in the second half.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Aidan Muller took the ball away near midfield off an attempted clear off a Hopkins' defender. He carried the ball to the top of the box before moving slightly to his left and firing home a shot into the right side of the net for a 1-0 lead at the 12:41 mark.
• The Blue Jays carried play for the majority of the final 30 minutes but the Bullets packed the defense into the box and didn't allow the visitors a great look at the potential game-tying goal.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Leandro Ribeiro (Bahia, Salvador City, Brazil/Putnam Science Academy) needed to make two saves for the shutout win.
• Johns Hopkins finished with an 11-7 advantage in shots – nearly half of which were blocked out front by the defense. Gettysburg finished with a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
• It was the first home win against the Blue Jays for the Bullets since a 3-1 win in 2008, snapping a 6-0-1 run by Johns Hopkins.
