• After a first half that featured just four combined shots, Franklin & Marshall fired three shots in the first seven minutes of the second half. Lillian Williams crossed a ball into the box that Zoe Warne chested down and fired into the upper 90 on the Diplomats' fourth attempt after halftime for the game's lone goal.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Lucy Fleming also had three saves in the clean sheet for the Diplomats, who can secure a first-round bye with a win in the regular-season finale on Saturday.
• Franklin & Marshall finished with a 10-5 advantage in shots and 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
