LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg, ranked 15th in the D3hoops.com preseason poll, scored 20 or more points in all four quarters to defeat Roanoke on the second day of the Jean Beamer Classic, posting the only 2-0 record in the classic format to win the title on Sunday. Alayna Arnolie led the Bullets with 15 points to earn the tournament's most valuable player recognition. Paige Breuer led the Maroons with 21 points. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

HEAD OF THE CLASS: Alayna Arnolie was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week. Arnolie averaged 18.3 points per game and scored double digits in all three games, including pouring in 27 points against Randolph-Macon on Saturday. Her 42 points in the two games at the Jean Beamer Classic hosted by Roanoke earned her MVP honors. Arnolie shot 48.9 percent from the floor on the week and connected on 7 of 18 (.389) from long range. She also had 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals.

OFFENSIVE MINDED: Gettysburg is averaging a conference-best 82.7 points per game in the early going this season. The Orange and Blue haven't scored 75 or more in four straight games since January 2004 when it scored 86 against Bryn Mawr, 82 against Muhlenberg, 78 against Washington and 83 against Haverford. Alayna Arnolie (18.3 ppg), Mackenzie Szlosek (13.7) and Emily Violante (10.0) are all averaging double figures through three games.

(Full Recap) (Box Score)

SLOW START: The Lions have struggled in the first quarter of their first four games this season. Penn State-Altoona has scored single digit points in three of the four contests and have trailed after 10 minutes in all four games. The scoring woes have continued into the second quarter in three of the four games, trailing at halftime in all three losses. The team's only win - a 60-49 victory at Lycoming last Wednesday - came when the Lions led at halftime (26-22). All four of those games have been on the road. The Lions only play one home game - Saturday against Penn College - until Dec. 14.
