THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg recorded four second-place finishes to open the indoor track and field season with strong showings at the Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
THE LEADERS
•
Bethany Rolley (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) led he Bullets with a second-place showing in the pole vault, clearing 3.05 meters. The Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying time ranks second in program history.
•
Jenna Weylman (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) turned in the No. 3 time in program history in the 60 with a time of 8.27 seconds to finish second in the finals. She qualified fifth with a time of 8.31. She added A second conference qualifier in the 200, placing third in a time of 28.13.
•
Kailey Schissler (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) also turned in an all-time top-10 time in the 60, posting a time of 8.39 seconds in the prelims to qualify eighth. She was also eighth in the finals with a time of 8.45 seconds. Schissler added a second qualifier in the high jump, clearing 1.47 meters to place seventh. She was also 12th in the 200 with a time of 28.84 seconds.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) led the way on the track with a second-place finish in the 800, registering a conference-qualifying time of 2:27.59.
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was also second, posting a conference-qualifying time of 19:07.89 in the 5,000.
•
Franny Proto (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Regional at Old Tappan) made it a trio of runner-up showings on the track, hitting the CC mark in the 3,000 with a time of 11:05.85.
•
Theresa Ditri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./William Tennent) hit the conference-qualifying time in both the 800, finishing seventh in a time of 2:34.45, and 40, placing 11th in a time of 1:07.70.
•
Bella Yardeni (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber) was seventh in the 400 with a CC-qualifying time of 1:05.29 after posting a qualifying-time of 8.69 to place 15th in the 60.
•
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) led a quartet of Bullets to the line in the 5,000. She finished eighth in the 5,000 with a time of 20:11.22 while
Abbey Woodcome (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) was ninth with a time of 20:16.29.
Emily Trout (Ocean View, Del./Sussex Academy) placed 10th (20:25.89) and
Megan McArthur (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) was 11th (20:32.56). All four times hit the conference qualifier.

Olivia Taylor (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) cleared 2.75 meters in the pole vault, hitting the CC standard and finishing eighth.

Georgia Mercer (Elkton, Md./Rising Sun) was ninth in the long jump with a conference-qualifying leap of 4.32 meters. She was also 13th in the 800 (2:45.18) and 30th in the shot put (8.67 meters).

Lea Del Grippo (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) hit the CC mark in the shot put, finishing 12th with a throw of 9.96 meters, and high jump, clearing 1.32 to finish 13th. She was also 27th in the 60 with a time of 9.25 seconds.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Ashlyn Miller (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) turned in personal-best marks in both throws. She was 23rd in the weight throw (8.33 meters) and 29th in the shot put (8.92).
•
Kyla Lorden (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) finished fourth in the mile (5:50.19).
•
Jessica Bourne (Rye, N.Y./Rye) placed ninth in the 800 (2:35.77).
