NEW ORLEANS, La. – Two individuals as well as one relay for Gettysburg women's outdoor track and field team have been named to All-Mid-Atlantic Region team, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently.
Lillian Boudreau (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley) and
Georgia Mercer (Elkton, Md./Rising Sun) claimed honors in individual events while the 4x400-meter relay also claimed all-region accolades.
Boudreau posted the No. 4 time in the region in the 400 hurdles with a program-record time of 1:02.42 at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 10. She was also the silver medalist at the Centennial Conference (CC) championship with a time of 1:03.06.
Mercer recorded the No. 8 mark in the region in the heptathlon with a total score of 3,782 points at the CC Championship, earning her the bronze medal and ranking second in program history.
The quartet of
Camryn Rogers (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum),
Jenna Weylman (Walpole, Mass./Walpole),
Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J./Academy of the Holy Angels) and Boudreau posted the No. 8 time in the region in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:59.57 at the CC Championship on May 3. The bronze-medal performance ranked fourth in program history.
The top eight athletes in each individual event relay in each region earn all-region honors.
