GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Six members of the Gettysburg women's track and field team were named to the Division III Academic All-District track and field/cross country team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees are eligible to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 15.
The following Bullets women's track and field athletes were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Lillian Boudreau (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley), an environmental studies major
- Senior Carys Cook (Henderson, Tenn./Laurelton Hall [Texas]), a psychology major
- Sophomore Anna Hendrickson (Sykesville, Md./Marriotts Ridge), an environmental studies major
- Senior Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J./Academy of the Holy Angels), a business, organizations and management/economics major
- Sophomore Bethany Rolley (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area), a biology major
- Senior Abbey Woodcome (Hudson, Mass./Hudson), a business, organizations and management/Spanish major
Cook claimed her third straight recognition while Boudreau earned her second straight.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and must have a mark that ranks in the top 50 of her region in at least one event. Up to six eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
