THE REST OF THE STORY
•

Emily Crane (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and
Caroline Sullivan then both finished solo runs nearly 90 seconds apart to stretch the lead to 3-0 with 7:17 remaining in the opening period. Sullivan then hit a cutting Daly with 3:11 to play before finding the back of the net for the second time 64 seconds later.

• Twice in the first 4:13 of the second quarter, Daly hit
Julie Breedveld in front of the net to stretch the lead to eight before Sullivan extended the lead by one more with 9:40 showing. Just 26 ticks later,
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) got in on the action and pushed the margin to 10. Shortly after having an apparent goal taken off the board, the Bullets saw Sullivan connected with
Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) for the first time with 6:49 showing.
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) took a pass from Basso and this time had the goal stick for a 12-0 lead with 2:43 showing. Just as the first half was expiring, Basso fired home the 13th tally of the game.
•
Sophie Showers (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamamoneck) grabbed turnover at the restraining line and hit Daly, who streaked to goal nearly four minutes into the third quarter before
Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) scored with 9;53 to play. Sullivan then put the final of her four in the back of the net with 4:46 showing for a 16-0 lead.
• Hannah Gawne converted a free-position shot to break up the shutout with 13:45 to play in the contest. Natalie Macri made it back-to-back Messiah goals before Passarello finished from
Kali McDonnell (Norwich, Vt./Hanover) with 8:18 on the clock. After Gawne connected on her second 8-meter goal,
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) beat the final horn with a free-position tally of her own.
