THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored nine straight goals over a 15-minute, 15-second span to take a 12-3 lead late in the second quarter before eventually toppling No. 25 Denison, 17-10.
THE LEADERS
• 
Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) led the second-ranked Bullets with a career-high six goals while adding an assist, four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
• 
Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) added five goals and one assist of her own. She also had two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• 
Emily Crane (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair) chipped in two goals, three assists and five draw controls.

• Maddie Morrell led the Big Red with four goals on four shots.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• 
Jordan Basso converted a free-position shot just 1:56 into the game before 
Caroline Sullivan netted her first of the day just 2:18 later. Mary Martinson cut the deficit in half with 10:03 on the clock before Basso pushed the lead back to two with 7:13 on the clock. Maddie Morrell and Merrill Rollhaus scored a minute apart to tie the game at 3-all with 2:51 to play in the opening quarter. 
Emily Crane fired home the go-ahead marker with 1:22 showing before Basso hit a cutting Sullivan in the final 35 seconds for a 5-3 lead.

Julie Breedveld (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) in front of the goal just 2:30 into the second quarter before 
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) found the back of the net 73 seconds later. Basso finished her hat trick with 9:59 showing before 
Emily Crane riffled one home 90 seconds later. Sullivan then hit Daly with 3:44 and Daly connected with Breedveld with 1:38 showing for an 11-3 lead. Sullivan capped the run, knocking home a free-position tally 30 seconds later. Rollhaus broke up the 17-minute scoring drought and made it an eight-goal margin at the break.
• Sullivan corralled a tipped pass from Crane and finished for a 13-4 lead with 13:17 remaining before three Morrell goals in a 6-minute, 42-second span keyed a four-goal run – a stretch in which Gettysburg played the majority a player down. Crane found a cutting Basso to make it 14-8 after three quarters.
• Denison scored twice in the first 4:25 of the fourth quarter to close to within 14-10 on a pair of tallies assisted by Lucchesi. Back-to-back Sullivan free-position tallies, including a top-shelf laser pushed the advantage back to six with 5:33 remaining before Basso capped the day with 4;22 on the clock.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 35-25 advantage in shots and 23-12 advantage in ground balls. The Bullets also won all six fourth-quarter draw controls to finish the contest with a 17-12 edge.
• The game featured 16 total cards, including 11 on Gettysburg – six of which were yellow cards.
