OPENING DRAW: Today's non-conference game marks the seventh all-time meeting between No. 2 Gettysburg (3-0) and Catholic (1-2) in a series that dates back to 2010. The Bullets have won all six previous meetings.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg outscored Catholic 8-2 in the first quarter to open up a big lead en route to a 21-6 victory last season in Washington, D.C. Katie Fullowan tallied four goals and one assist to led the Bullets. Kate Olsen scored two goals to lead the Cardinals. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored nine straight goals over a 15-minute, 15-second span to take a 12-3 lead late in the second quarter before eventually toppling No. 25 Denison 17-10 on Saturday, Feb. 24. Caroline Sullivan led the second-ranked Bullets with a career-high six goals while adding an assist, four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. NO. 2 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg opened the 2024 season right where it finished in the 2023 poll - No. 2. The Bullets have remained second in the poll through the first two rankings of the season.

TWO OF A KIND: Jordan Basso and Caroline Sullivan have led the Gettysburg attack through the first three games of the season. Each player has found the back of the net 11 times and dished out four assists for a team-high 15 points. Basso and Sullivan both have two games with four or more tallies this season, including Sullivan's career-best six markers against Denison in the last outing. Basso has eight ground balls and five caused turnovers while Sullivan has seven ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls.

LAST TIME OUT: Catholic secured its first win of the season on Saturday with a win at Dickinson, 15-10. Rachel Rubenstein saw her first action of 2024. The two-time all-region selection, 2023 US Lacrosse All-America honorable mention and defending Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year grabbed seven ground balls and caused three turnovers. PLAYING THE BEST: Five of Catholic's first six games are against teams currently ranked in the top 11 of the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll. The season started with a 14-1 loss to No. 9 Salisbury and a 21-5 loss to preseason No. 4 Franklin & Marshall. The Cardinals then notched their first win of the season on Saturday against the only unranked team they'll face in the first month of the season. The tough stretch continues here today before a home game with No. 11 Wesleyan and trip to No. 9 Washington and Lee. Landmark Conference plays opens for Catholic at Lycoming on Mar. 23. The Cardinals were tabbed second in the preseason poll two points behind Scranton.
