OPENING DRAW: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 32nd all-time meeting between No. 8 Gettysburg (10-2, 4-0 CC) and No. 23 Haverford (8-3, 5-0 CC) in a series that dates back to 1986. The Bullets lead the all-time series 28-3 and have won seven in a row. The last Fords victory was an 11-10 overtime win on Mar. 21, 2015 in Haverford.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Haverford scored five straight during the second period to lead 10-5 but Gettysburg responded with seven consecutive goals to regain the lead en route to a 19-13 win last season. Jordan Basso powered the Bullets' offense with career highs of eight goals and 10 points. Sam Silverman scored four goals to go with two assists to lead the Fords. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

GAME HAIR HAVOC: Today, the Bullets are taking part in the annual Game Hair Havoc fundraising campaign. Gettysburg players will be styling their Game Day Hair for those who have lost their hair due to the side effects of cancer treatment. The efforts will fund comfort kits, real hair wigs and provide financial relief to families. To donate to the cause, visit https://pledge.headstrong.org/team/547339.

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg shut out Stevens for the final 46 minutes, 54 seconds of the game and Jordan Basso broke the program all-time career scoring record with her sixth point of the day in a 12-2 victory on Tuesday. Felicity Heilferty made 11 saves for the Ducks. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

SCHEDULING NOTE: The Bryn Mawr game is officially recognized by the NCAA as a no contest. However, because the Owls declared to the conference after the season started that they would not be completing the season, all remaining conference opponents on the schedule were awarded a victory in the conference standings.

NO. 8 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped to eighth in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll.

A NEW NO. 1: With 6:43 remaining in the games against Stevens on Tuesday, Jordan Basso, working from her patented rightside goal-line extended spot, found Meghan Crane cutting down the middle of the lane. The senior hit the cutting freshman, who dashed to cage and on the right side of the cage for a 12-2 lead. More importantly, though, Basso picked up the assist and with it her 310th career point to become the Bullets' all-time career points leader. She passed Julika Blakenship's 309 points, which came during her 2001-04 career. Basso finished the day with two goals and four assists. She also grabbed four ground balls and caused two turnovers.

LAST TIME OUT: No. 23 Haverford remained undefeated in conference play, picking up a win at McDaniel last Saturday, holding on for a 12-11 triumph. Brooke Epstein scored six goals to lead the Fords. Defensively, Lauren Paprocki scooped up five ground balls, caused two turnovers, and added one goal. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

CHASING THE TOP: Haverford enters today's game on a five-game winning streak and is 5-0 in conference play - one of three remaining undefeated teams in the league. The Fords, however, have a pair of top-10 foes looming over the next eight days. After the trip to Gettysburg today, Haverford hosts No. 3 Franklin & Marshall next Saturday. The three teams have separated themselves in the standings with two weeks to play, holding at least a two-game lead on the field. The Fords have built their success this season behind their defense, which enters today allowing just 8.83 goals per game. Gettysburg, however, has the No. 3 scoring offense in the league at 15.58. Haverford's offense is averaging just 11.55 goals per game and is going against a stingy Bullet defense that is tops in the CC at 7.67 goals against.
