THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked sixth in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, opened up an 8-1 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 20-6 win over Washington (Md.) in the Centennial Conference (CC) semifinals.
THE LEADERS

Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) led the Bullets with five goals, one assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) added five goals and one assist of her own while also chipping in a caused turnover.
•
Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) chipped in a career-high-tying six assists to go with one goal.

Julia Daly connected with
Jordan Basso just 3:15 into the game, staking Gettysburg to a 1-0 lead. Daly then finished a solo run 13 seconds later. Basso added a second tally with 9:56 remaining then hitting a cutting
Julie Breedveld (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) for a 4-0 lead just 18 ticks later. An
Ella Patterson (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) free-position marker made it 5-0 midway through the opening quarter. Tobin Chambers finished a pass from MaryCate Anson to break up the shutout with 2:38 remaining.
Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) found Daly with 2:09 showing to push the lead back to five then Basso scored with 37 seconds remaining and
Caroline Sullivan connected with Crane in the final six seconds for an 8-1 lead.
• Morgan Sutherland hit a free-position shot with 12:42 remaining in the second quarter before Sullivan took over the second quarter, having a hand in five of the Bullets' six tallies in the period. She found Basso and Daly just 41 seconds apart. After an Abby Laubach tally with 8:12 showing, Sullivan went back to work. She hit
Sophie Smith (Great Falls, Va./Langley) on the right side then converted from eight meters. Daly made it a 10-goal margin with 4:48 to play. Chambers momentarily took the running clock off with 3:05 to play but Sullivan and Basso needed just 50 seconds to reinstate it and stretch the lead to 14-4 at the break.
• Sullivan hit Crane just 25 seconds into the second half before Daly scored unassisted three minutes later. After an Anna Wilson rebound goal, Crane and
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) finished solo runs on either side of the quarter break for an 18-5 lead.

Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) picked up her first collegiate assist, hitting
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) on the run with 11:15 to play. O'Connell then hit
Kali McDonnell (Norwich, Vt./Hanover) on the wing for her second goal in as many games and 15-goal lead with 5:22 to play. Anson capped the scoring with a free-position marker in the final 3:19.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg advances to its 22nd CC championship game in 22 tournaments. The Bullets and Franklin & Marshall will square off in the title contest for the 19th time.
• Gettysburg finished with a 36-24 advantage in shots and 18-12 edge in draw controls.

Emily Crane finished with three goals, one assist and five draw controls.

Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) and
Annie Nikolic (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) each had four draw controls. Macatee added three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
