ONE STEP AT A TIME: In 2022, Gettysburg advanced to the semifinals of the Centennial Conference tournament. In 2023, the Bullets were the No. 2 seed and earned a spot in the championship match before ultimately falling to Johns Hopkins once again. However, the fruits of a 23-5 season earned Gettysburg the program's first at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. The Bullets will look to take the next step in 2024 but will need to do it with some new pieces. This year's roster features eight returning players and eight first-year players in the program. Of the six players last year with 99 or more kills, four return to the court in 2024. Alycen Radolovic had a breakout sophomore campaign with 191 kills to go with 137 digs and 31 total blocks. Mary Huegel, who was a first-team all-conference selection last year, is back to lead the way in the middle. In addition to her 133 kills, she also had a team-high 42 aces and conference-best 125 total blocks. Sophie Nasir (504 assists), Halle Feth (285) and Kendall Erpenbeck (134) are all back to share setting duties. The biggest question for the reigning CC Coaching Staff of the Year as the season opens will be the libero position after the graduation of Chelsea O'Leary and her 1,335 career digs.
